Fatemeh Mashouf invests significant preparation time before each mediation session. She values innovative approaches and persistent follow-up. Her private mediation fees are based on a flat rate: $6,000 for a half-day session and $10,000 for a full-day session. There is no additional charge for standard follow-up unless an extra session is required.

THIRD-PARTY FACILITIES COSTS

Ms. Mashouf conducts all of her mediations either in person or via Zoom. If the mediation is in person, the parties are responsible for obtaining a mutually agreeable and suitable location for the mediation. The costs incurred for all conference and office facilities will be borne by the parties.

In all occasions where the mediation is conducted in person, the facilities must have the following capabilities: (1) one conference room per party; (2) adequate and secure internet; (3) A separate breakout office or conference room for the mediator to conduct private business either with the parties, counsel, or telephone conferences, among other things; (4) Snacks and drinks available to all participants; and (5) sufficient privacy for all participants. In the event that the parties are conducting a partial in person and partial zoom mediation, the parties will be responsible to make sure that the facility has the technology to conduct such sessions, which would include very high speed internet, direct CAT 5 connection to internet, video camera equipment, and other technical requirements for video conferencing.

FEE AND COST ALLOCATION

All costs will be billed to and are due from the mediation participants in equal, pro rate shares unless all parties have agree to a different allocation and notify Mashouf Mediation before issuing invoices. The attorney and client are jointly and severally liable to for payment of fees and costs.

DEPOSITS

Each participant’s share of the total amount due must be deposited upon receipt of the invoice in order to guarantee the reservation. Mashouf Mediation reserves the right to offer the date to other potential mediation participants until the deposit is paid.

CANCELLATION AND POSTPONEMENT

If the mediation is canceled or postponed, for any reason, 35 days or less before the scheduled date, the party requesting the cancellation or postponement is responsible for the entire deposit (not just the canceling party’s share of the deposit).

Although Mashouf Mediation will make attempts to re-book the date, the party or attorney canceling is also responsible for trying to find another available booking to fill the time.
